Goal:

Create standardisation in the structure and interaction of digital projects including:

  • Code standards

  • Quality standards

  • Accessibility standards

  • Analytics and data standards

Main Business goal of the Design System:

  • Website creation capable of being 50% cheaper

  • Website creation capable of being 50% faster

Vision:

Team will create UI Component Library based on Design System standards. Component Library will consist of Atoms, Molecules and Organisms and it will be completely independent from CMS and backend.

Components are intended to be used by development teams while developing new websites by customizing the style of the Components and by configuring available options.

Target structure:

Design system will contain:

  • Standards documented and signed off to be used across the company

  • Component Library with the pre-defined set of components to be used by development teams.

    • Each component should be versioned separately and it should be possible to use only one Component from the library.

    • It should be possible to use the whole package of Components as well.

    • It should not be possible to change Components by development teams, only by Design System team

  • Governance model that will define the process of Component Library extension
