E-Commerce Content Requirements and Templates

Below you can find list of requirements that need to be meet in order for the content to be added to the ecommerce websites, as well as templates that needs to be sent to content editors.

PRODUCTS

Product Content

Requirements

In order for the product to be added to the ecommerce website, the following content needs to be uploaded to Product Catalogue:

  • Global Item Number
  • Item Gtin/ EAN
  • Item SKU
  • Product Name Without Special Characters
  • Product Name With Special Characters
  • Short description
  • Long description
  • Features
  • Strapline
  • Price
  • Currency
  • Tax
  • E-commerce category

Additional content to be added to the product detail page:

  • Products in the "We Also Recommend" section
  • Product in the "Other Products like" section
  • Meta description

Aspect ratio: 1:1
Resolution: 1200x1200 minimum

ARTICLES

In order to add an article the following content needs to be provided: Hero Image + Article template

PROMOTIONS, SALES AND VOUCHERS

Promotions and sales

In order for the promotion/sale to be enabled, the following information needs to be provided:

  • Promotion/sale rule
  • List of products (only for product promotion, sale)
  • Promotion messages - messages that will be displayed on product page, mini basket, basket (not applicable for sales)
  • Start date 
  • End date

Vouchers 

In order for the voucher to be enabled, the following information needs to be provided:

  • Voucher code
  • Voucher rule
  • Total quantity of redeemable vouchers
  • Total quantity of redemptions per customer
  • Start date
  • End date

Banners

Any promotional activity can be supported by promotional banners:

  • Homepage banners - banners on the homepage carousel
  • Category banners - banners on the product detail pages
